The delicately scalloped top fan braces insure the structural integrity of the top, and allow it to resonate more freely. This gives the players the ability to create dramatic changes in dynamics and tone. Mahogany sides and back produce an evenly balanced sound, while the rosewood sides and back give the sound exceptionally strong bass and power.
